Set up Cursor
First install the Shellway app on your computer and pair it from your dashboard. Then:
Open MCP settings
In Cursor, open Settings, then MCP, and choose Add new MCP server. Or edit the file
~/.cursor/mcp.json.Add Shellway

Sign in
Cursor opens your browser. Sign in with Google and allow access.
Pick the computer
Ask Cursor's agent to work on a named computer, for example: on my home desktop, run the tests.
Questions
Does my computer need to be on?
Yes. Cursor can reach your computer only while it is on and the Shellway app is running.
Can Cursor delete my files?
Only inside folders you allow, and Shellway asks you before deleting or overwriting files.
Does it work on Windows and Mac?
Yes. The Shellway app runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
Does it work from my phone?
Yes. Anywhere Cursor runs with your account, it can reach your paired computer.
