These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Shellway. By installing or using the Shellway CLI or any related services, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Shellway. By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API key. Notify us immediately at security@getshellway.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share your API key with others or allow third parties to use your account.
You agree not to use Shellway to:
Shellway's AI may suggest shell commands, scripts, or file modifications. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any command before it executes. We do not guarantee that AI suggestions are accurate, safe, or appropriate for your environment. Always exercise judgment before running any proposed command on a production system.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance, apply emergency patches, or modify features with reasonable notice. We will communicate planned downtime via status.getshellway.com.
The Shellway CLI is open-source under the MIT license (core components). The Shellway relay service, web dashboard, and associated infrastructure are proprietary. You retain all rights to code, scripts, and files that you create using Shellway.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Shellway's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss or damage to production systems caused by AI-suggested commands you approved.
You agree to indemnify and hold Shellway harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
